Senate confirms Eric D. Miller to 9th Circuit

The Senate yesterday voted 53 to 46 to confirm Eric D. Miller to the 9th Circuit Court of Appeals.  Miller, a Perkins Coie partner, became the first circuit judge to be confirmed without “blue slips” from the senators from his home state of Washington.  Miller is the fifth former law clerk to Justice Clarence Thomas to be named to an appeals court by President Trump.
