What the courts face in a government shutdown

The Administrative Office of the U.S. Courts says that if Congress does not come to a budget agreement before April 8th, the Judiciary can use non-appropriated fees to keep things running for up to two weeks.  Once that funding is gone, the court system could face serious disruptions, limiting operation to essential activities.  All personnel services not related to functions necessary and essential to continue the resolution of cases would be suspended and payments to jurors and court-appointed counsel would be deferred.
